JRLippert
Seeking Help: I have a 1931 Desoto SA four door and am seeking info on its carburetor. Came with a Carter RT 008 in bad shape and a new/rebuilt RJH 008 (yes, it is marked C for Chev manufacture and I assume use). Any suggestions on replacing the whole unit or should I just rebuilt it. Thanks for any help you can share. John
keiser31
I believe you should have a DRT-08 Carter carburetor. Ask carbking on this forum for one.
ArticiferTom
According to The Carb Shop app guide the '31 SA takes RT-08 ,188 Carter . Which I believe is earlier version of RJH-08 and may not have pump . Jon ( The Carb King ) could better tell you .
JRLippert
Much thanks to members keiser31 and Articifer Tom for your informative replies. to a previous request from way back in October. I am finally in a position to get back to my car projects. Re: the suggestion to contact "The Carb King", how do I go about doing that? carbking
The RT-08 is more closely related to the DRT-08 than to the RJH-08. Jon.
