You must be thinking 1926 -34.  They did not make Pontiacs in 1925. A early Pontiac that would be good for touring should be 1929-33. Series 6-27 and Series 6-28, 1926, 1927, 1928 and early 1929 are real great cars, superior to Ford and Chevrolet, but they require downshifting on moderate hills, do not have an adjustable front seat, have a weak (Chevrolet)  rear end and are comfortable around 40-45 mph.  Series 6-29, Series 6-29A, Series 6-30B and any 1931-1933 are vastly superior, they have more horsepower, easily cruise on the highway at 50-55 and have no trouble with 60 + for passing. The hotchkiss drive from Oakland is a much more robust differential and the Midland Steeldraulic brakes are much superior.

These are my opinions based on owning one of each year from '26-'31 inclusive and putting 400,000 miles on my 1930 while using it as my Daily driver since 1959.

1934 was a completely new engine for Pontiac and in both 6 and 8 cyl was used until 1954.

Thanks for the info! I've never studied early Pontiacs much so I'm learning as I go!

Both look like great cars.  My favorite is the '34 but I would probably buy the '33 because I HATE cleaning whitewalls but then I also like four doors better than two.

Good luck in your search.

would you consider a 1938 pontiac convertible sedan, fully restored, has won awards, very high quality restoration, 6 cyl engine, 3 speed trans. suppose to be one of only three still surviving, car is in oregon, belongs to the pontiac oakland club founder Don Bougher. ? Price is $49,000.00
