nzcarnerd
Taken in front of the Auckland premises of WS Miller who was the local Chandler agent, among other things. My guess is a lower middle price American car from the late teens. The different colour hood and body might be a clue. Some interesting advertising on the walls behind. First picture has a Regal billboard in the background. Yes most Regals were not underslung. I thought that was the goal gas brand. I had forgotten about Regal as a make that late in the teens. I knew they did conventional cars but it was only when I looked at The Standard Catalog I realise they lasted through to 1918. I don't think NZ had much of a gas shortage during WW1. Gas producers or, in this case gas cylinders, are not common in contemporary photos.
Spinneyhill
It looks a bit like this one, which purports to be a 1914 Buick model B.

That is the Buick Marr cycle car from 1914. https://www.conceptcarz.com/vehicle/z14548/buick-cycle-car.aspx
