Pops324
Hello all thank you for the add. I have been looking for some help and ran across your group. I recently aquired a 1929 from my grandfather. Its been in a garage for over 40 years and is completely original, I have been working on getting it running and have come to discover some issues. For starters the fuel tank is shot. It had decades old fuel and has rotted out. Does anyone make a replica tank? Secondly the carb is also shot. I have found some miscellaneous parts online but was curious does anyone rebuild these things? TYIA Doug
Mark Huston
Nice looking 1929. What is the make and model of your 1929? Folks need to know that in order to point you in the right direction.
Mark Shaw
Looks like a 1929 Standard series 116" wheel base. I have a similar tank and can help you get that Marvel carb running again too. Send me a private message with your email address and I will forward lots of info.
J.H.Boland
It appears to be a 1929 Buick Model 29-26 business coupe. That's a Marvel carb. Tony Bult in WI.rebuilds those and has many '29 parts.. You can likely find a local metal fabricating shop to make a new tank. Tony can be reached at tonybuick272829@gmail.com. Jim

jpage
If you have a good tinsmith in your area, he might be able to build you a new galvanized tank from your original. I had a tinner make me a new tank for my "36 Dodge and it fit like a glove! Not cheap though!
