Service or technical bulletins

Recommended Posts

Did Chrysler or any of its divisions issue Service or Technical Bulletins to their dealers?

Studebaker did and they contain information about factory upgrades, how to do things, how to correct weaknesses found in use, additional details not in shop manuals after 1935 and so on.

Every American car factory did this. Often they were printed on paper with holes punched down the sides so they could be put in binders for future reference.

Years ago I saw an article by an English author who was involved in a project to publish an automotive repair manual in the 1930s. They wrote to car companies in England and in the US. The information they got from America was the best and most complete, from English companies often sparse or non existent.
