30DodgePanel
I'm trying to determine the exact model of battery that came with my truck originally. I know it's Willard but no idea what model. This scan is the best I can provide for reference, you can blow it up or save it and enlarge it or, press ctrl and scroll up with your mouse at the same time to zoom in. If anyone has a reference manual for the 1930 DA-124 3/4 ton truck with 6 cylinder engine that would pinpoint it also. Anyone recognize it ? All input is welcome, thank you. Dave Henderson
Here is a Willard battery, designated model HDD-1. It was in a long-stored Model A, rescued in the early '70's. I would date it to the '60's, or possibly earlier. The Willard battery your truck originally came with probably had exposed lead bars showing on top, connecting the cells.
Spinneyhill
I have no truck information. The following may be of interest, however. It is from the book of National Service Data, I think from CollectorsCars.com. Battery columns are clear, then Lighting, Carburetor and Fuel pump.
30DodgePanel
Thank you Spinney,,, looks like a match. Here's a screenshot of my DA124 Lubrication chart next to a PDF of the DA6 I found online and it does look like a match... WSB 15 it is...
