There are a dozen or so which have been listed over the years with the Pierce-Arrow Society. As just a guess, I think that they probably built less than 500 of them. I believe he added my, previously unregistered "C", for a total of 18. I have collected all the known literature on them, as well as era photos. I was able to purchase a model B and a model C in the past 4 years. The total restoration of the model B will be finished this spring. Here are a couple of 1937 photos of one in Florida. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. It has the logo plate on the back .We haven't seen the inside yet but I assume its not to good. Do you know how I can tell which model it is? Is it worth restoring? Are they really rare? edinmass Posted July 8, 2003 Share Posted July 8, 2003 They made the trailer in three sizes. Known as Model A, B, C, they are most often found with the interrior torn out. If the serial number tag is still on the front, I can tell you the model. From memory the smallest Model C is about 12 feet, the B is about 16, and the A is about 19. The most popular is the B, then the A, and lastly is the C. Take a tape mesure and post the length, I'll try and post the dealer info on the lengths. My brother dropped off a book for me, "Ready to Roll: A celebration of the classic American travel trailer," because he knew we had started looking for an older Airstream. There on page 58 and 59 was a 1936 Model A Travelodge in the most gorgeous blue I'd ever seen. I'm working on a book set in the 1930s and he said I had to find a way to include this thing in the book. I will!Where are you in Texas? We are in Waco. I would love to see one of these in person. BTW, I have a 1961 Willys Traveller that we may have for sale because I'm not sure I can afford to restore it (it is supposed to be rare--only 12 or so made in 1961 and most Willys guys have never seen one).
