263 straight eight 53 special sump gasket

Afternoon guys

Just noticed recently Ruby dribbling slightly , had her up on ramp , coming from sump , probably gasket fail, have a friend coming from AZ in two weeks so will purchase replacement , whats the best place for price and delivery within say a week ?

Best to make your own using cork/rubber gasket material.  Put some cardboard on the floor and lay the pan on the material after rolling it out.  While kneeling on the pan, cut the outside with a utility knife and then drill 5/16 holes.  Turn the pan and gasket over and using some pan bolts hold the gasket to the pan; then cut out the inside.  I use 1/8 material which is thicker than the supplied gaskets.

morning guys , thanks for responses, overnight spot about size of a teaplate, however put on ramp at friends garage this morning , difficult to judge but some of oil coming from rear of gearbox , friend recons needs a new rear gearbox oil seal

suggestions for supplier would be appreciated.

  Probably the torque ball seal. Bobs Automobilia has them.  Cars Old Buick parts.com. I think they are made by Best Gaskets.
