stakeside
I have found a wheel clamp that has FORD stamped on it. I am restoring a 29 Dodge Bros truck that uses wheel clamps with FIRESTONE stamped on them. The Ford clamp has a longer overhang. Anybody aware of use of wheel clamps on Fords? stakeside
I got these pictures. I am looking for any information on these Ford wheel clamps. They have a 51 stamped in them. The firestone clamp has the 40 stamped. This is the type used on my 29 Dodge Bros truck.
Dave Mellor NJ
For demountable rims? This thread recently posted by lump might be of use to you.
Layden B
The clamp with FORD cast into it came on Model T trucks ( Model TT) equipped with 20" Firestone demountable rims ( most 1924-1927 production). They were used on the rear, front tires being different rims with smaller tires.
