AlanM
Can anyone tell me if this is a Chevrolet part, and if so, what year? At Hershey someone told me he thought it was Chevrolet but did not know the year. Also, what is it correctly called? Thanks in advance for any help. BearsFan315
Looks like a door striker Plate not sure make model or year, it is not from 1929-1932 Chevrolet
lump
Hmmm....reminds me of a tailgate latch striker on a 1950's station wagon. But it's been a long time since I've looked closely at one.
Vila
The 33 Chevrolet Master has two plates per door. One that the door handle latch go into to hold and release the door and the other that a tapered wedge on the door goes into to keep the door aligned when closed. Looks very similar to the one door frame plate the tapered wedge fits into but not exactly. The only difference appear to be that the top of your parts wedge opening has a circular section at the inner most section, where as the 1933 Chevy version the wedge does not have that circular area. My guess it that it is from a GM produce, but not a 1933 Chevrolet.
