nzcarnerd
This car has a distinctive 'dropped chassis' which I can't find on Locomobiles of this era - I reckon 1913 give or take a year. That 'two tone' look was popular for that year - look at Buicks for example. I have found a couple of makes had the drop at the cowl but so far none with it further back like this one. Note also the front fenders are squared across the front and there are no hood louvres. Here is a 1911 car with the same drop further back on the frame - - although this 1913 car - has it further forward. Maybe the chassis were built to order? Or else this 1913 car is not correct in its detail - I note it has hood louvres which most Coles do not. Certainly most other 1913 Coles have the distinctive squared fender fronts.
drwatson
Kissel also uses a frame that drops down towards the rear. This is a 1912.
