Window accessory?

These two brackets (for lack of a better description) are mounted on the inside of the window track of my 1926 Chrysler. The label appears to read "Made by Dunn Manufacturing Clarinda, Iowa." Does anyone know what they are (for)? Does anyone have a photo of what the entire product looks like?

Thanks in advance!

dly,

Doing a search on the internet, it shows this company in Iowa manufactured radios.  And, another "hit" on a Ford

website, talks about a dash with gauges made by this company.  Wild guess:  could what you have be a radio antenna ?

I agree with John, probably part of a rail left over from a after market window shade. See attached photo (click on it a few times to enlarge). More on Dunn Manufacturing http://www.windcharger.org/Wind_Charger/Parris-Dunn_Corp..html

This photo is courtesy of free online patents search under "William Dunn". Item #79

If you search the patent website list I provided you'll notice there are quite a few "awning structure" patents submitted by Mr Dunn...
