Xander Wildeisen
I went out to a local salvage yard to get some parts, and took a bunch of pictures that I will post for you guys/gals to see. The yard is called Vintage Automotive, The owners name is Jim Hines. The yard is full of 1930-1960 cars and trucks, lots of great parts, rust is not a problem around here. If you are looking for any thing give him a call. He has a ton of N.O.S. parts in the buildings. And he is very knowledgeable and knows what is out there. 1-208-587-3743 http://www.jimsvintageautomotive.com/

Xander Wildeisen
I hope this can give every one a good general over view of the parts Jim has out there. There is a lot more that I did not take pictures of. If you are looking for some parts, please give Jim a call. 1-208-587-3743
auburnseeker
I'm guessing he's light on Hudson pickup parts after your visit. You have to love that western tin. Anything over 30 years old around here is pretty much gone. You might find a plastic knob or two but the sheetmetal parts are pretty much toast. Xander Wildeisen
Forget get about plastic parts around here, the sun kills them fast. Hope the pictures will help some people find the parts/car they might need for their projects. Walking the yard is like a big swap meet, just one vendor. g-g-g0
WOW! Thanks for posting. Lots of interesting stuff. Is he interested in selling parts or gonna' restore them someday? Gary
Xander Wildeisen
Nobody lives long enough to restore all of that, Keep his contact info, and pass it along. Lots of good parts. When every one else was crushing stuff, he held on to save the stuff. Yards like this are fading in this country.
Buffalowed Bill
Thanks for sharing! I have been going to the yard, and have known Jim for forty years. There are cars in the yard that I took parts from thirty five years ago. Cars are still in the same place, sans a few more parts and a little more surface rust, but overall they have not changed much. No better way to spend an afternoon then walk around the yard. The yard is personal extension of it's owner, and they just don't get any better then Jim! People come and people go, but things never change at Jim's "Vintage Automotive!" I hope that it lasts forever!
