padgett
There is a scientific term for it: Clown Car. Ted Vernon might love it.
46 woodie
I feel sometimes a car just can't be saved and in that case, sure build a street rod or some other creation. The Old's however is a different issue. If that car had been painted a stock color or even something close with a less "gaudy" interior, it would be an easy sell. What started out as a pretty decent car now needs a complete re-do. Many "Woodie" guy's will tell you, that as long as the wood is decent leave it alone. As for the early '50s Chevy with the Nomad roof, I'm fairly sure the builder didn't take a pristine Nomad and cut the roof off, ( I hope). Two separate issues in my book. Yes, modify a car however you'd like, but be prepared to be mocked for your poor choices.
