Beemon
1956 Buick Century 2 Door Hard Top Looking for a decent condition passenger side window so it matches all my others. I'm not in a place right now to replace all windows and summer is fast approaching. Light sweat is okay but not looking for fog. My original window was broken by hanging a ladder next to the car some years ago when it was the garage storage unit. It's still solid, but broken into more than five pieces and doesn't sit in the track anymore (can't roll it down). NC-car-guy
I think the one I've got is usable with no cracks, but for the cost of shipping, couldn't you get a flat piece of safety glass done at a local shop?
Beemon
I don't want to run the trouble of thickness and tint
NC-car-guy
I'll shoot you some photos when I get home, If it's acceptable you can have it, cuz shipping is going to suck!
Beemon
Thanks! The yard near me has no glass and the two big yards both 5 hours one way dont have glass either. I just don't want old windows with one new window that is thinner and lighter. Wouldn't be an issue if I was replacing all the glass.
old-tank
I just replaced one of mine with a local glass shop and they had no trouble matching tint, thickness... Just no lof logo, but you can't see it on your car anyway. If you need a better frame, rechrome or look for 54 55 56.
Beemon
I'm check again with the local shop but last time I spoke to them, they didn't seem confident they could do it. Edited April 12, 2016 by Beemon (see edit history)
NC-car-guy
My apologies, the perfect windows I have are from a 4 door HT. Sorry!!! But really your local shop should be able to do it without the risk of breakage in shipping.
