fxrspjc
Hi, Does anyone know anyone that may have a decent set of 63 rims for sale? I would also be interested in a set of the turbine wheel covers but I'm pretty sure that would be asking way too much. If you have a set of rims or know anyone that does please contact me at fxrspjc@verizon.net Thanks Very Much! Joe
RivNut
Joe, Just an FYI. In '63, the Riviera came with either 5-1/2" width or 6" width rims. Cars originally equipped with 7.10 x 15 tires came with the 5-1/2" rims, and cars equipped with the optional 7.60 x 15 tires came with the 6" rims. That being said, the studs on the back of the turbine wheel covers were different lengths depending on wheel width. Any Buick wheel up through '64 will fit on your '63. Even the older ones with the small hole for the locating pin when Buick used lug bolts instead of lug nuts. Ed
fxrspjc
Thanks Ed, I didn't know that. I would prefer a set of the 6" if anyone has a set they wanted to sell. Best Wishes, Joe
RivNut
Older rims are usually 6" rims. Even if they have the clip for the dog dish cap, those clips can be removed. There's no difference once the clips are removed. Ed

DualQuadDave
I have a set of 63-65 steel wheels and some 63 hubcaps I would sell. PM me if you are still looking. Thanks
RivNut
63/64 and 65 rims are different. In '65, the center hole is smaller and '65 wheels will not fit over the larger hub on the '63 and '64.
DualQuadDave
I had forgotten about that. These are from a 64 specifically.
