g-g-g0
Looking for the clamp that holds the "silencer/muffler to the bracket on a 1942 Buick with the two carb set up. This is a one year only--1942. A photo of the clamp itself would be helpful in case I do not find one and have to fabricate one. Appreciate any help or leads. See attached picture of the clamp on the silencer. Thanks, Gary '42 Buick Muffler and bracket.pdf

g-g-g0
It's a 1942 only, all models with dual carbs. Pete had the silencer/muffler and I found the bracket recently from a fellow Buick enthusits in AZ. The bracket is at the powder coater and when I get it back I think I can determine what the strap looks like and will attempt to make one.. Sorry Ben that I was not able to help with a working trunk lite. Gary
LAS VEGAS DAVE
I never saw one of these either. Is the purpose to keep the noise of the air entering the carbs down?

I am not a '42 expert by any stretch but suspect that is what it is for.
