Linus Tremaine
I have listed a carb and air filter assembly that I believe fits 1931 cadillac. I am not that familiar with all the models, so it may fit other years. Please take a look at my ebay auction: http://www.ebay.com/itm/131643201573?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 Thank you for looking
carbking
Maybe one of the Caddy guys will respond, but it looks like a 1932~1933 carb to me. Jon.
Linus Tremaine
Thanks jon, I will add some more years to the auction title. I wish I knew more, but only know model L lincoln because thats the only antique car I own! Maybe someday I will have a cadillac.
edinmass
Not 30,31,32,or 33 Eight. Looks early to me.......
Guest
Definitely not 30/31, and probably not 32/33. I agree with Ed, it looks early to me. Here's some pics of a 31 carb.
Johan Boltendal
It's definitely a '32 carb, with a filter that's not as it should be, lower part looks like it could be '32, top definite not , it has a louvered part and a semi flat lid Johan
Linus Tremaine
I sure appreciate your expertise everyone. I have a pretty big estate to deal with and its just impossible to know what everything is. We are doing the best we can and are trying to put parts in the hands of people who need them for fair prices.
edinmass
32 or 33 would be a Detroit Lubricator carb, not a Johnson. It is NOT a 1932 or 1933 unit. Ed.
Johan Boltendal
What wonders me , how can you be that certain, if you obviously don't know, what you are saying, this doesn't help the seller , one chance, you didn't notice this carb fits a V-8 Johan
carbking
Cadillac used Johnson on 1932 and 1933 8 cylinder. The 12 and 16 cylinder did use Detroits in 1932 and 1933. The first Detroit on a Cadillac 8 cylinder was 1934. Jon.
edinmass
I didn't remember I was working on the 12 &16 cars from 32, never did work on a 32 eight. Memories fade as time goes by. Thanks for the correction.
Guest
Now I know what a 32 carb looks like. Thanks Johan.
