Gunsmoke
I friend gave me a pair of 19" x 4.5" wire wheels equiped with 14" Dia x 2.5" deep brake drums/hubs, bolt pattern is 6 x 6.5", and with hubcap opening diameter of 8.5". Rims are 20.75" overall diameter and have removable ring on outer edge. He thinks they are early Buick? Can anyone tell from these dimensions if they may be Buick and which model/year? All pieces are rusted somewhat, but appear salvageable, have greased ball bearings in place in hub as well as the screw in grease caps.
midman
Gunsmoke,Sounds like a big series Buick 30-32 maybe, but pics would help.
Rooster
OK to be corrected, but sure Buick did not have 19" wheels. In 1929 they were 20" and then in 1930 went to 18".Maybe Marquette ?
midman
Rooster,I have a 31 90 series and it has 19" wire wheels. The OP's measurements sound correct but I've not been able to get out and measure up one of my wheels. The hubcaps are 8.5" as well so I'm pretty sure.Gun smoke, do you have any interest in selling the wheels and drums? If so PM me please and send pics.Chuck

Gunsmoke
Ok guys, here are the 1000 words. I am never sure when things like these get to point that pitting eliminates useability. In any event, they are of no use to me, if someone wants to pay shipping (probably about 60 lbs I'm guessing) from NS Canada, let me know what your offering. Just like to see them able to help someone out. I'm restoring a '31 Chrysler CD8 Roadster, won't fit at all.
