Daves1940Buick56S
I have a WCD carb, 663S model. No heat riser tube so I will have to make one. But I am having a bit of trouble matching the thread on the carb fitting. Compression fitting seems a no go. Anyone have TPI for this and maybe fitting type so hopefully I can get something at Grainger?Cheers, Dave
Mark Shaw
I would expect it to be a flared fitting...
carbking
If you are requesting information on the fuel fitting:The female threads in the carburetor body are 1/8 pipe. You can acquire a fitting with a male 1/8 pipe on the end to the carb, and virtually whatever you want to the fuel line.Jon.
Daves1940Buick56S
Thanks Jon, I did need that info as well. But what I am also looking for is the specs on the threaded nipple that the heat riser pipe attaches to.Cheers, Dave
carbking
Dave - the threads on the choke housing are standard tubing. Memory says 1/4 inch. Get a tubing nut that would normally be used with a ferrule (or "olive").Jon.
Daves1940Buick56S
Thanks Jon! Will try Grainger this week. On the fuel connector, the 1/8 pipe side - is it NPT (tapered)? Or NPS (straight)?Cheers, Dave
jenz38
No npt, its straight.and Unf no unc :-) Edited May 11, 2015 by jenz38 (see edit history)
Daves1940Buick56S
Thanks Jenz! It looks like 1/8 NPS with 27 TPI. Looks like the adapters to inverted flare are easy to get.Cheers, Dave
