MyJetstar1
I want to just grab a portion of the post.I probably do it the hard way, as with most things. I just highlight and delete the portions of text I don't want to copy.
62BillT
Either that or just use the mouse to "erase" what you want to leave out.Bill

Bhigdog
Lets try this. Grab one sentence of this post. Then quote it in a reply. If it appears in a blue box tell me how you did it.................Bob

MCHinson
Failing that how about a clue...............BobAfter you hit the "reply with quote" option, you can edit the quoted text by simply deleting the portion that you don't want to quote. Just be careful to leave the formatted quote text portion at the front and end of the quoted text. Hopefully I explained that sufficiently. 62BillT
MY KINGDOM! My kingdom for a quote. Failing that how about a clue...............BobOK, when wanting to take out part of a sentence, go to the first letter of the sentence that you want to keep, and left click with your mouse, then hit the "Backspace" button to erase what you don't want. If it's at the end, just start from the "[" at Quote and do the same.

Bhigdog
Ah yes. Finally. I knew how to delete text but Mr. Hinson provided the clue in that the "quote" text needed to be undeleted. Thank you both....................Bob
