Harold
I haven't been to a swap meet in several years and was at Allentown today. It was a nice indoor event, although a little crowded for my taste. I was surprised at how few NOS parts were on sale...most everything seemed to be used original or modern-day aftermarket. Have NOS parts really become that scarce?
Dave Mellor NJ
Most shows in the winter are heavily promoted and aren't expected to yield your great garage finds. There's too much profit motive. It might be nice to get out and socialize but for serious parts searching you're better off waiting for the nice weather informal meets or look on line. joe_padavano
Have NOS parts really become that scarce?Yeah, they have. We're now half a century past the introduction of the musclecar and much further from cars that I suspect most people on this site care about. NOS parts are very scarce now and the ones that are available usually sell on ebay.
dbirchmire
We went up yesterday as well and noticed more people than normal attending. It was good getting out of the house to visit with car people and car parts. lol
Harold
I'm into early-fifties Plymouths and didn't have high expectations of finding anything useful. Unfortunately I was right...I saw one used wheelcover and an instrument cluster, and I have several of each. It was good to be among car stuff regardless.
