Corvette 1961/1962 Automatic transmission

I don't remember ever seeing a 61 or 62 corvette with an automatic transmission.

Did they make them and if so, how many.

They offered the Powerglide right up through the mid 1960's. Corvette's started out with only the powerglide in 53. Some people tell you they are rare. They aren't real rare though and in most cases less desirable than a 3 or better 4 speed manual transmission. There were 1878 in 1959, 1766 in 1960, 1458 in 1961 and 1532 in 1962. The first 2 years (1953 and 54) they made nothing but automatics.No doubt they made them in 61 and 62. Powerglide was available in Corvettes but not the Turboglide.
