does anyone know about old side-view mirrors? pictures attached

While recently cleaning out my garage I found this old driver's side mirror and was wondering if anyone here could give me more information about it. Is it a factory original part or a aftermarket replacement part? What year is it from? I think it's pretty neat and am just curious to know more about it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I will guess OEM due to the precise cable length needed. Also stylingwise, about 1955-1965. No good guess on brand, maybe an orphan brand, since it lacks a "real" part number.

AMC/Rambler? Seems I've seen some w/ the hash marks around the perimeter of the housing on Ramblers. Or my memory is going bad....

That is what I was thinking....AMC. I have definitely seen it before....my memory is going, too.

I will say 1967, 1968 and 1969 AMC. There are some on Ebay right now.
