Mark Shaw
1931 Buick 95 - 7 Passenger Phaeton This beautifully restored CCCA qualified Buick was owned by Mr. Charles Howard, owner of the famed racehorse “Seabiscuit,” for use on his California horse ranch. Mr. Howard was the western distributor for Buick, so he ordered this car with factory options only available to him. The car has factory-correct light & dark Algonquin green paint with matching green leather upholstery, factory installed Cadillac vacuum powered brakes, Dual Tail Lights, Single-Bar Cadillac Style Bumpers, Dual Pilot Ray Turning Driving Lights, and Pull-Out Cigar Lighter. This car received Best of Class Awards twice in the classic open-car division at Forest Grove Concourse de Elegance; first awarded in July 1984 and again in July 2004. It is now offered for sale with an asking price of $115,000 with documented provenance. It will be available to be seen during the BCA National Meet in Portland, OR July 23rd – 26th 2014. Contact Bud Rex 503-292-1334 or email xraybb@comcast.net for more details. Edited July 15, 2014 by Mark Shaw (see edit history)
