Paul Falabella
Ordered this fabric from SMS April 2013, received it last week. This is in my Roadmaster. Don't know what other models it applies to. Apparently they don't always have this stuff and make it periodically, so if you need it, get it now. bhambulldog
Very Nice !!Is that textured material? Or is it a printed material with a smooth surface?I'm not sure mine has the correct material. It is a smooth print.
southpaw52
Paul,I'm new here and still gathering resources. Can you elaborate on who "SMS" is for me please? I have a 56 Special and would sure like her trunk to look that pretty! Thanks, Anne
Paul Falabella
James, it's two different threads woven. SMS lists as Cross Stitch Taupe w/Black. Matches exactly what was in the trunk before.Anne, SMS http://smsautofabrics.com is a vintage car upholstery business. They also do door panels.Mr. Earl, thanks, the old stuff is kind of nasty. Will probably throw it in a garbage bag and store in the attic. Really only good for patterns. Someday my daughter will say "what the hell is this bagash&@"! bhambulldog
As I suspected. Mine is not correct. On yours, were the side board panels originally covered in fabric?
Paul Falabella
99% sure they were covered. Glue residue appears the same throughout. Don't recall seeing any other Roady's like this.Anyone else? The cardboard is the same as used in cars with no fabric, just cardboard trunk lining.Fabric glued to it. Divider, forward of the evaporator is not covered and shows original cardboard. Guess that's what you got for $400 over a Super!
bhambulldog
I don't doubt your side boards were covered originallyMy originals were not covered. I'm certain that they came both ways. Perhaps it is a difference in assembly plants.Or,Difference from a four door to a two door car.Mine is a Framingham car
Paul Falabella
Could very well be any of those things. Funny, mine is an Atlanta car bought and lived in Selma most it's life, wound up in Huntsville where I got it.
