Grandpa
My wife purchased a Ford script monkey wrench (adjustable wrench) for a 1926 & 1927 Model T (info. per a web search) at a garage sale for $2. The wrench was manufactured by McKinnon Industries, Ltd. (Canada). The wrench is 9¼" long with a 3/8" sqaure at the base of the handle for removing the differential housing drain plug. The remains of the original black paint are visible. Are the McKinnon monkey wrenches used only on the Canadian built Model Ts?
Dave Mellor NJ
Ford script monkey wrenches are very common. The McKinnon name is rather rare but I don't think it's worth as much as the shipping.

Layden B
The 1927 Model Ts ( starting late 1926 during the 1927 model year) had a square hole in the rear axle filler plug. This wrench came out in the Model T era but certainly most of them were Model A equipment.
Dave Mellor NJ
The Model a wrench has the script next to the worm gear.
