vektro
My 65 has an exhaust leak. Thought new gaskets would fix it up, until I read on Russ Martin's sight that Buick never used exhaust gaskets. What have you guys been doing to address that issue?
60FlatTop
No gaskets on my 401 or 425. I tried them once. They leaked.Bernie
RivNut
Follow Russ' advice and do as the factory did when they built it. IF you've been running gaskets and you have any kind of deposits on either the head or the manifold, you might have a hard time getting the manifolds to seal against the heads. The surfaces of both need to be machined smooth so they seal.Ed
63 Rivi
I took my grinding wheel with a fine sanding disk and cleaned both mating surfaces. No leaks since.
