DLynskey
For renephotography's benefit since he is not that familiar with American cars, from 1949 through 1952 Chevrolets were marketed as Special and DeLuxe. The DeLuxe had chrome side and window trim and upgraded interiors. The Special had almost no chrome except grille, trunk handle and bumpers. 1949 and 1950 differed in appearance only in the grille, hood emblem and trunk handle. 1951 had more changes and 1952 differed from 1951 only in trim.Like most of the Cuban cars this one has mixed heritage. The rear fender shape and taillight are 1951-2 as Fleek noted. The chrome window trim indicates DeLuxe, but It has 1952 DeLuxe molding on the front fender and door, 1951 DeLuxe molding on the rear fender so it could be either year.Don
