v12lincoln Posted January 27, 2014 Share Posted January 27, 2014 Last year someone broke into my garage and stole all the hood ornament off of all my old cars, I found replacements for all but the Buick and Thanks to Hagerty Ins. it didnt cost me a dime.Anyhow here is a picture of my new hood ornament that was on my Grand Fathers model A, When he passed and gave the car to my Uncle I asked for the hood ornament and he let me have it, So now it is on my 32 66s, it is cool to see the prop spinning as I go down the road. Have only seen one more like it on the internet.He was a mechanic for as a civilian for the USAF and worked on these rotory engines after WW2. He and his wife ran an airport and she was President of a woman pilots club for awhile. I think she still has the car with the radial engine radiator cap too...
