Guest Traveling Man
Since i bought my 65 i have only driven it to the house where it is in Restoration. I was just curious what kind of fuel mileage Riv owners were getting out of the first Gen cars. With Ethanol and without? Being a 401 I am sure it is not good. 64R
I was getting 7mpg until I rebuilt it, about 12 mpg now. Mine's actually a 425 but I doubt the mileage would vary from a 401 and no ethanol here.
63 Rivi
401, I was getting anywhere from 11-17 before ethanol, now about 10-15 with. Definitely a difference.

bb1970
A few years ago. I parked in a stall at the local coin-op car wash in my Riviera. In the next stall is a gal in a Prius. We went to get change and she asked me "What kind of car is that?". I replied "That is the polar opposite of your Prius". She laughed. But was really interested in the Buick. She even asked if she could set in it. I was shocked given her choice in a car. Kind of cool.
60FlatTop
Don't forget, you can always tell the new environmental friendly car owners that the CO2 footprint of your'60's and older car has been incinerated by surface nuclear testing from 1942 until 1990 and their waste is still up there floating around.Bernie
