Dynaflash8
Does anybody know how difficult it is to have a factory 1955 Olds A/C compressor rebuilt? Are parts available?
rocketraider
Earl, that should be an A-5 compressor which is very similar to an A-6 as used from late 50 thru late 70s. Parts availability, I'm not sure, but I would think one of the vintage air companies could handle it.
PONTIAC1953
hi earl, classic auto air in florida can restore your A5 compressor to look and work like new. charles coker, 1953 pontiac tech advisor.
Dynaflash8
Thanks guys. The car is in Florida and so am I. I like the car, now I have to worry about the factory power windows. I'll post another question. By the way, a friend of mine has a couple of 58 Pontiacs with factory air, and he's been to that place in Tampa a number of times, because a couple of times the compressor wasn't fixed. Guess that happens sometimes.
