SIRAACA_Editor Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 We are one of the many regions situated in the areas where Sandy did so much damage. We also happen to be a 501©(3) charitable organization, so we have set up a program to let others help us to help the victims within our community. See the letter below for more information if you too would like to help:Dear Donor,The Staten Island Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America (“SIRAACA”) is a 501©(3) charitable organization made up entirely of volunteers that happens to be situated amidst the vast destruction that Superstorm Sandy has left in its wake. As a local charity, we traditionally raise funds for our community needs through car related events, and have recently helped Staten Island Project Homefront, The G.R.A.C.E. Foundation of NY, and The Emergency Children’s Help Organization. This time, however, we are collecting donations from concerned friends both far and near who wish to contribute directly to the aid of those in immediate need as a result of the horrible losses experienced at the hand of this once-in-a-lifetime storm. Every dollar collected will go directly to those in need, with no administrative or overhead costs, and reports will be made to all contributors. Our priorities are helping people that have lost their homes and need immediate food, shelter, and clothing; helping people who have lost their possessions with no recourse to insurance; and assisting in delivering direct assistance to victims. We are well organized and motivated to help the community that we call home. If you would like to contribute to the recovery efforts here on Staten Island, please send a check payable to SIRAACA, at the address noted below. Include your name, address and e-mail if applicable so that we can keep you informed of the good that your donation has done. Your donation is tax deductible as allowed by the IRS.Thank you and God bless.Sincerely yours,Paul Arena,Jr.President, SIRAACAP.O. Box 140244, Staten Island, NY 10314

dbirchmire Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 (edited) Paul, Our region had our monthly meeting tonight and we have decided to make a donation to your region to help the good people of your area. A check will be going out for $500 in the near future. We were very lucky with minimum damage in our part of New Jersey. Good luck and give your members our best. You will be in our thoughts and prayers.Dave Birchmire, Sr.South Jersey Region Edited November 20, 2012 by dbirchmire (see edit history)
