arnulfo de l.a.
I get a lot of heat coming in from the engine compartment. It seems to be traveling up through the steering column. The car is a daily driven 99% stock 1965 riviera gs. Is there something that can be done to fix that? Takes some of the enjoyment out of driving the car especially with the hot weather we've been having.thanks, arnulfo
RivNut
There's an article in the Tech Tips section on the ROA's website on how to replace the insulator that is inside the steering column and wraps around the steering shaft.
Jim Cannon
I agree with Ed. It could also be that the seal around the outside of the steering column, where it passes through the body, has been removed or has disintegrated with heat and time. Check that out from below with the car on a lift.
