Earl B.
Is there a difference in fuses as in 6 volt versus 12 volt, or is a fuse a fuse? thanks, B
oldford
fuses fail due to excess current, not voltage. Current produces heat, which causes the metal fuse to melt.Frank
Dave Mellor NJ
The fuse required on a six volt accessory would be twice the amps of the same 12 volt accessory. It would be the same fuse holder. In Buildings,110 to 250 volts uses one size while over 250 up to 600 uses a much larger size. This is to prevent the higher voltage from possibly jumping across the gap of a blown fuse. Rusty_OToole
As long as it is the right amp rating voltage doesn't matter. Old cars all use the same glass tube fuses in different lengths and amp ratings, if it is the same amps and the same length it is the right fuse.
