W_Higgins
Is there somebody there with a niche business for '29's like there is for the '31's and '32's that's making this rubber piece for the front motor mount?:None of the major Buick vendors seems to offer it. Guest Straight eight
Have you tried Steele Rubber products, and Metro Molded Products?
Mark Shaw
https://secure.steelerubber.com/search_frameset.php$94.10 for the set....
W_Higgins
https://secure.steelerubber.com/search_frameset.php$94.10 for the set....Steele only shows the set for the rear mount and it's the front I'm looking for. That's the same issue I ran into with the usual Buick parts houses. I don't even see motor mounts on Metro's site. 50jetback
I couldn't locate any when rebuilding my 1930 so used a piece of suitable high density rubber flat strip which I cut to length. You can get profiles which will make it look like the original, in fact if you look at yours you can see a cut in it indicating it was originally a strip and just wrapped around the front mount. W_Higgins
Thanks Stuart. I got a hold of someone today who mentioned the same thing. The way it is oozing out I thought it was a special flanged molded piece, but if I remove it, it's going to disintegrate, so I wanted to make sure of what I was up against before digging into it. Pete K.
It did have a flange on it originally. I bought a replacement years ago for my '30 Buick. Don't even remember whom or where, but I'll keep looking for your part.
