oldcar
You could say that I am nuts about my Series 1 Single Six, the time and money I have spent on resurrecting it from from a lost cause basket case. My current hiccup is the lack of a steering wheel retaining nut. Can anyone anywhere supply one from their spares. You will see from the attached drawing that not only is it an obsolete size and thread pitch but it is also from a non standard hex bar stock. Please with the number of these early cars that have been dismantled someone must have one surplus to requirements.Bernie J. stude1946
A good machinist should be able to reproduce this.
oldcar
Fortunately the problem seems now to be solved allowing us to move on to the next. With the wheels away being painted the car is standing on jack-stands. Edited April 16, 2012 by oldcar (see edit history)
