Restorer32
Good article on how to make laminated bows. If originality is not a concern laminated bows work fine and are easy to make but you are depending on the strength of the glue to hold their shape. Glue laminates under tension can "creep" over time and change shape.
Guest 1930
quote........Glue laminates under tension can "creep" over time and change shape. ...........Thanks for adding to this post, did not know this and good to keep in mind.I dont have any hands on experience with this but I am a firm believer that the glues we have available to us today are not what we had 5 or 10 years ago. I believe they have really come a long way. I would not be scared to do laminates in other words. MikeC5
I doubt it would be that easy. Also, it wouldn't be something I'd mention here when there are a few people here with '25 touring cars looking for '25 touring car top irons....
MikeC5
If I do manage to win the fleabay auction for the '25 top irons, I have a set of very similar top irons from an unknown make that I would consider selling. I have tried identify them but haven't found anything conclusive.
