Steve Braverman Posted November 6, 2011 Share Posted November 6, 2011 I had an exhaust flange cast for a 1933 Chrysler Imperial. I had a wood pattern made at considerable expense. It was made slightly larger to compensate for shrinkage, but there was no shrinkage. The new part was exactly the same as the pattern. He charged me $35. This was about ten years ago. What is it you need cast and is is cast iron or malleable iron and are you hoping to use an original as the pattern or do you need a pattern made? Is a core box necessary?
