Rosiesdad
I am replacing the 1/4 " passenger side glass on my 50 super. Should I go with laminated or tempered safety glass? Any suggestions on vendors?Phil
Ben Bruce aka First Born
Phil, I went with laminated for my '50. May fit the channel better. Ben
Rosiesdad
Thanks Ben,I have the option of ordering 1/32" or 1"16 thick glass setting tape. Which one is the way to go?I see "Bobs" has window regulator roller and rivet for the later models. Nothing for us though? guess I have to fab something up Phil
Rusty_OToole
I don't think you have a choice. Laminated is the only kind they sell at auto glass shops. They should install it for you.
Bhigdog
Buy the glass at a local glass shop. They will cut laminated to size from your old glass as a pattern. Take the frame along and they can either sell you the correct thickness tape or install the glass. Installation is easy. Use windex as a lubricant and trim the excess tape with a razor blade.............................Bob
