Guest garymfenn
Can anyone help me identify when Fulton Type-D Trailer Couplings were used? How common are they, etc?
auburnseeker
I have a Fulton tow bar that clamps to the bumper and looking by the shape of the bumper I would say 20's-mid 1930's. I'll try to get a photo and add it to this thread. I'll bet yours is the same vintage.
Rusty_OToole
That looks like an early ball type coupler probably from the first trailer boom years, 1934 - 1940. More likely the earlier years.Wonder if it is the same Fulton that made the sun visors.
RU22
Both Indian and Harley made trikes that a mechanic could tow while returning a customers car. Once delivered the bike was ridden back to the shop
Dave Mellor NJ
Both Indian and Harley made trikes that a mechanic could tow while returning a customers car. Once delivered the bike was ridden back to the shopI have a nice front fender for one of these Harleys. The braces are wider than standard to allow for the tow bar to fold up.
