carbdoc
I know what a typical D-L 51 looks like, of course; what I need to know specifically is if the carb on a 1932 Packard 900 series used the gear-drive accelerator pump or the z-hook type; whether or not it used the spring-and-eyehook system to keep the air vane doors shut while choking; whether it used the 90° vent suction tube from the bowl lid to the throttle body; and how the original graphics on the bowl lid looked.I can also use any specs and/or service bulletins anyone has on hand.Thanks.Jeff Edited August 22, 2011 by carbdoc (see edit history)
Matt Harwood
I have some photos of a carb mounted on a '32 Standard 8 902, would they be helpful? Unfortunately, these are all I have.
Restorer32
Z hook, spring and eyehook system and 90% vent tube. Some original top plates have Packard Light 8 photo engraved, some have Packard with Light 8 mechanically engraved. I have also seen some that just said Packard. carbdoc
Matt and Restorer32,Thanks so much. Your photos/description confirm some information sent to me already by another respondent. The folks on the AACA forum simply can't be topped for assisting fellow hobbyists/restorers.Jeff
