'53 nailhead timing cover question

Does any one have the parts manual diagram for the front of the engine. I am wondering if the felt gasket that I have in the rebuild kit goes on the crank between the timing chain and harmonic balancer:confused:

Thanks MrEarl for the manual diagram. It dosen't quite show exactly what I am looking for but it is very helpful. Would you have the page with the timing chain and if it shows the felt gasket?

I don't have a picture to help you, but on later nailheads there isn't a felt gasket anywhere near there. I believe the area you are talking about is just metal to metal contact. I can't think of where a gasket of that size would go (elsewhere on the engine).

Here is the other page you referenced..its from a 54 book but should be the same.

I don't see any felt gasket other than the gasket indicated by MrEarls picture....

If I remember right there is a felt gasket as in the picture marked red.
