Steve_Mack_CT
Sad to report that Alfonse Lepore, age 79, who was the founder of A&L Model A here in CT passed away Monday. Al was well known by those within the Model A hobby. He reproduced high quality US made parts for Model As since the early 60s. Al was a true friend to the hobby. While much of his business was done with retail suppliers, he treated individual customers the same way he treated his large clients. Al always had time to give advice and was a true hobbyist – active in MARC, MAFCA and AACA. He was generous in supporting the local regions of these organizations. If you have a ever owned, restored or worked on a Model A, chances are pretty good it is on the road due in part to Al’s efforts. I am sure his family will carry on the tradition. Our AACA region will submit a more detailed tribute to the Antique Automobile but I thought some of his friends from outside CT may want to know this.
