Guest charlesgmc
Found this in the 'woods'. No other parts around. Could not see any holes for handle. Did not notice s/n on hinge part until got home. Can't read it from pict but could go back some time if it would help. Does it look like a rumble seat cover?
F&J
The hinges are rumble type, not a business type "trunk lid" type.It looks Ford to me: the center "hole" on the backside is not really a hole, it should be a bowl shaped depression...yours is rusted to look like another hole.Fords of some years, had the rumble latch being opened by a remote knob inside the car, behind the front seat. As I recall: 32 3-window coupe? as well as 33/34 coupes...I don't think these would have a lid handle.I can't remember what the 32 and newer rumble hinges looked like. I know Model A looked like those with two legs. Maybe look at repro hinges on Bob Drake Ford site? That might narrow it down,
Dave Mellor NJ
I would try Fordbarn V8 forum to get further information although what F&J said was very good.
Dave Henderson
That there was no hole for a handle is a significant clue.
