yeah i have to pinch myself once in awhile

she likes old cars

we went to the auction and she looked at it and said i want it, so she even bid on it,

her dad was a car dealer, owned a small dealer ship, but always had old cars, maybe thats what atracted her to me,

she has always been supportive of all the trips, parts hunting, vocations on my own and looking threw the truck when i got back to see what i all got,

like i said i pinch myself once in awhile,

and we have 27 years in already and still going:D

thanks

Greg

Well, do it up right for her. She and the car are both golden...

By the way, what's the plans for the car? what color and are the wheels staying on? Did those road wheels fit over the rivits on the front brake drums or did you have to grind the rivits off?

the road wheels fit but not with the lug bolts

i would like them on there but they will not be safe

the holes are to big for the bolts and the bolts just bottom out before getting them tight enough

the car will have white on the bottom below the stainless and the top will be white, then the green will run the center of the car, i have a vented hood for it as well as the original hood, so i wil paint them both,

i did the all the brakes new, front to back with new lines and rebuild kits, and the underside was completely sandblasted and por15ned, i put a new gas take and lines in her, and the motor is rebuilt and ready to go, i am trying to find new carpet for the back but can not find any,

ideas or ways to turn on the carpeting would be appreciated, attached are a few pics

the one boy underneath is my 19 year old brian, and the other with the red shirt is my other son whom is 13 and helping get that bad boy back in the car

Well, I never would have suspected this to occur. Offhand, do you know what year car the wheels came off of?

But the color scheme sounds great. The Chassis looks really good too. Can't wait to see some pics of it done. I'm really growing fond of the 50-52's. Something about the shape and size just screams "perfect"...

BTW, great to see your sons involved with you on this project. How do they like the car?
