Ames63
I found this ad, and I am comtemplating an engine swap.1995 Buick RivieraI have discussed superchargers and such on a previous thread but can't find it right now. I am wondering would this supercharged engine fit in my 89 Reatta?
Guest CL_Reatta
Since it is pre-1996 and OBD II there will be less computer issues to worry about, but yes it "fit"

D-a-n-i-e-l
Well worth it. Tranny and engine make for a easy swap pluss yo get the ECM needed to control the newer tranny. A no brainer
Ames63
Daniel and Handmedown I want to follow up on your comments.Handmedown, you stated the car messed up today and must be sold. Do you have first hand information on the car?Daniel, noted on the craigslist ad is the fact that the tranny may have issues. I was thinking about using my current tranny with the supercharged engine. Is this a no no?
Guest CL_Reatta
Philip used his original 4T60 in his reatta after supercharging, I think (I dont remember the exact amount of miles) after 15k or so miles, the trans blew.

D-a-n-i-e-l
My tranny laster all of four weeks of test (tuning) drive time. In its defense it had 110K. I would try to have it rebuilt if over 80k. Just to give it a fighting chance.
