OldsmoREO
It may, I have never owned a 1931 A. It is installed in a 1915 Model T touring now.
CarlLaFong
Extremely unlikely that any trans made for a "T" will work on an "A"
OldsmoREO
This is a transmission that was not made for a T, it was adapted to fit a T. I understand it came out of a Nash or a Studabaker.

jquam
Do you happen to have case numbers for transmission and overdrive??Thanks
OldsmoREO
I will look to see if I can see it in the morning, and let you know. The transmission is an overdrive trans, it is all in one. You pull a leaver & flip a toggle switch to actuate it. It still works perfectly.I understand it is out of a 1956 thru 1962 Ford cars & trucks. OldsmoREO
The numbers on the O.D. are R10B-1R & the Trans T96-A1.I hope this helps.Neil
jquam
Thanks for the info Neil, however, the trans will not work for my applicationJohn
OldsmoREO
It is a simple install just remove the torque tube and bolt this in. You also need to install a floor shifter (includes two) wire the overdrive solenoid and mount the lever.
jquam
My application is for a 37 Desoto drivetrain...
OldsmoREO
Like I said in the first post, it was adapted to fit a Model T Ford, I am sure it could be adapted just about any car with a long enough drive shaft.I would like to sell it localy so the person can see how it was installed to help with his install. OldsmoREO
Any one interested? It is a low cost overdrive that is less then a Warford or Ruckstell. If you are local you are welcome to test it out before you buy it.
JFranklin
Could you post a photo of this setup? It might help you sell it. Also why are you wanting to remove it?
OldsmoREO
There is not much floor space on a 1915 T Touring, and the shifter blocks the pedals. My feet are too big.It would fit other years better.I will post a photo this weekend.Neil
OldsmoREO
The Overdrive has been removed, and I have some detailed photos to e-mail to anyone that is interested. It looks like it can be adapted to any torque tube type driveline. Please let me know.
