West Peterson
My neighbor has these two maps that he received from his father. He does not want to sell them, but would be interested in knowing their value. They are both in very nice condition.
old gto
Looks like anywhere from $4.00 to $40.00, as listed on ebay right now. A lot listed for 20 bucks, but not many are selling. I have a 1932 Michigan, and a 1933 Florida....I think I paid about $5.00 each. 1929 maps on ebay
1937hd45
The Shell map is a nice one, would look good framed. I've found that maps don't bring nearly what I think they should on ebay 10-20 dollars is about right.
West Peterson
Thanks. I particularly like the artwork on the Shell map, myself.
TG57Roadmaster
The '29 Shell is a winner, with great air, boat and roadside graphics, and any collector would be happy to own it. Whatever you do, don't frame the original. With the advent of cheap color copies, you'll find precious few original items in any museum display. Make a color copy of the unfolded map on good, heavy, bright white paper, and frame the color copy.Otherwise, within months the bright colors of the original will begin to fade.TG

Bhigdog
Is it just me or is the graphics/artwork from the 20's 30's and 40's just soooo much prettier and even "artier" than later stuff right up to today's "artwork"? And if that's so, why don't you see more of that type today? I can't imagine framing any current advertisement......Bob
