Kissel_Daughter
I am in need of some information about the value of a 1927 2-door Brougham Kissel Car. Any information would be great! Thanks!
1937hd45
Kissel made some great cars, can you post a photo?
Restorer32
We are just finishing restoration of a '27 Kissel Brougham. These cars are considered "Full Classics" by the CCCA, which likely affects their value a bit. I am not qualified to venture an opinion as to value but would be happy to comment on originality etc. Looking forward to seeing some pics! Mark Shaw
Bill Sibley from Memphis TN called me yesterday trying to get some info on Buicks. He mentioned he had a late 20s Kissel under restoration. You might look him up in the HCCA roster. Try this value guide. I am told they use auction results to calculate values...http://www.manheimgold.com/car_lo.html
Kissel_Daughter
I looked at the manheimgold.com site and it does not have my particular model of Kissel car. That is when I started to wonder more about it. I also can't figure out how to post pictures without a website. I have some; but can't post them. Guest adam_knox
Hi, I know the Wisconsin Auto Museum specializes in Kissels (they were made there in Hartford,WI). Might want to stop in there, or give them a jingle (VERY friendly folks). They have TONS of literature and examples of many Kissel cars. You probably already know that, but just in case. Congrats on your really cool car!
Restorer32
Your Kissel looks to be very complete. Even the Kissel tag on the lower right cowl is present. You don't even want to know what it would cost to re-nickle those 3 bar bumpers front and back. The Kissel emblem on the rad is also a difficult and expensive item to find. Only obvious missing item in the pic seems to be the cowl lights. Expensive car to restore. It has Lockheed external contracting hydraulic brakes on all 4 wheels. Any chance of a couple pics of the engine compartment?
Restorer32
Your car also is a Late '27. The pancake style headlights were introduced late in the model year.
K8096
Was your car owned by a guy in a suburb of Cleveland named Al Kezielski? He had one just like this & sold it about 10 - 15 years ago.
Kissel_Daughter
My family bought the car 20 years ago from a man in Maine. Thanks for all the information everyone! I am learning a ton. I am in contact with the museum.
